Cells of the prostate gland grow abnormally and invade the nearby tissues and other parts of the body. This uncontrollable growth of cells of prostate gland is called prostate cancer. §         Trouble starting urination

§         Urinating much more frequently than usual

§         The feeling that you can't release all of your urine

§         Pain on urination or ejaculation

§         Blood in your urine or semen

§         Impotency

§         Bone pain

§         Frequent pain or stiffness in the lower back, hips, or upper thighs

If prostate cancer spreads to the lymph nodes in the pelvis, the following symptoms occur.

§         Swelling in legs

§         Discomfort in the pelvic area

Advanced prostrate cancer which spread to bones may show the symptoms like

  • Bone pain that doesn’t go away
  • Bone fractures
  • Compression of the spine
