Since a lot of people have this bol u ledjma (back pain) it is due to many factors ad happens at various stages of life and ages. One has to understand the human body is very delicate and also very robust, God has created the human tissue and bones to meet all type of physical stress.

Pain in the lower part of the back is a common phenomenon affecting people all over the world. Medical check-up of most of the cases have revealed no particular cause of the pain. However, bad sitting positions for prolonged periods of time, especially people who have to work on computers are known to suffer from this problem more. Diseases like ovarian disorders, appendicits, aneurysms, kidney diseases, bladder infections and pelvic infections can all be leading causes of severe bol u ledjima.

Nerve root problems can also be a cause of bol u ledjima. This kind of syndrome is due to a bulging (herniation) of the disc between the lower back bones which causes nerve impingement. Sciatica is an example of such nerve root syndromes. Herniated discs result when the spinal discs degenerate of shrink. This growing thinner of the discs forces the jelly-like central portion of the disc to bulge out of the central cavity and to push against a nerve root, thus causing pain. Fibromyalgia is a musculoskeletal pain syndrome that produces lower back pain. This syndrome results n pain and tenderness on eleven to eighteen trigger points if touched, one of which is the lower back, stiffness, fatigue and muscle ache are often encountered. Myofacial pain is another one of the musculoskeletal pain syndrome. This is defined by pain and tenderness in localized areas, such as certain trigger points. Pain is relieved when the muscle suffering from pain is stretched.

Infections of the bones of the spine (sacroiliitis or osteomyelitis) are other causes of bol u ledjima. This pain gets worse usually at night when the person suffering from it is sitting or standing for a long period of time. Tumors can also be a source of skeletal pain. Pain in the lower part of the back radiates down the front side, back of the leg or it might only be confined to the lower back. Activity by the person suffering from bol u ledjima is known to worsen the pain. Weakness or in extreme cases numbness might be felt in that part of the leg which receives its nerve supple from a nerve which is compressed. For example, if the first sacral nerve is compressed or injured, the patient would not be able to stand on his/her toes or bring the foot downward. If the lumbar nerve is compressed the patient would not be able to raise the big toe upward.

Treatment of this problem is generalized mostly. In severe cases terapija is recommended which involves pain relieving physiotherapy. Other than terapija, it is suggested to resume normal activity as soon as possible. Stretching activities should be avoided. Sleeping with a pillow between the knees is also known to ease the pain and increase comfort. In extreme cases of bol u ledjima prolonged bed rest is recommended.
