The masaza is done on a masaza table, masaza chair or any mat on the floor. The basic purpose is to relax and release the body stress. This masaza can be partly or fully unclothed, and the exposed parts may be covered with sheet or some towel. The masaza is done by using some oil, for better lubrication of the hands on the body. These oils can be any e.g. coconut oil, sesame oil or mustard oil etc. 

Masaza is and old form of therapy and it gives many benefits to us. The main purpose of this masaza is to allow the body to heal itself which helps in better well being of us. There are many health benefits of masaza. If we do it regularly, then it helps us maintain a better health.  There are many advantages of masaza. First of all, masaza releases stress and helps in relaxing the body. It helps in better circulation of the blood. It also improves our posture and helps manage pain. It strengthens our immune system and decreases tension. It may also help in lowering of blood pressure. In different countries, different kinds of masaza are done. In Chinese tradition, Acupressure is done. In Japanese tradition, Anma is done. Ayurvedic masaza is done in India. There are many masazas and the result of every masaza is different from the other. But the basic goal of it, is to relax ones body and release the stress focusing different parts of the body. 

It has been researched that those office workers who get a masaza regularly show better performance, and are less stressed. Masaza can decrease tension, stress and itching in burn patients. Premature infants when get masaza, gain more weight. Also the abdominal surgery patients are seen to recover quickly after having masaza.
