The viral infection of nerve roots are known as Shingles. It is also known as herpes zoster. It is blistering and painful skin rush because of the virus called varicella-zoster. This virus is responsible for Chickenpox. After getting Chickenpox to someone,Shingles symptoms – Different types of Symptoms  Articles this virus remains in certain nerves as inactive form. If ones age is more than 60, had chickenpox before and has a weak immune system for disease or medications, then this inactive virus may become active. It may happen one at a life time. People who become victim of this virus or attack can get rid of this disease. shingles treatment is one of the major factor to survive healthy life.

Naturally this disease occurs at one side of a body. The Shingles symptoms are given below:

ü  The first of the Shingles symptoms is one sided pain, burning or tingling. These may come at a severe form. It is seen before any rash is break out.

ü  The infected people also may face headache, fever, some swollen glands & other symptoms like flu before that typical rash break out. The fever may be severe such as 105° F.

ü  As a rash, one or many more bumps of red color is appeared first, naturally on the chest, face or abdomen. These are become larger and larger only within some hours. These spread rapidly and quickly & form blisters. The red patches are followed by small blisters for the more people. The amount of blister is varying from man to man. Some may have few or some may have hundreds or thousands.  These blisters are full of clear fluid & this fluid become cloudy within several days. These blisters are break down & forms small ulcer that become dry & form crusts. These crusts are fall off within 2-3 weeks. The rare scarring is seen.

ü  The rash may appears as a strip, a band in a very small area. This narrow area usually starts from the spine to the front of the chest or belly area. These rashes may also be seen on eyes, mouth, ears and face.

ii Extra symptoms are joint pain, hearing loss, swollen glands, loss of eye motion, vision problem and taste problem etc.

An additional condition is seen sometime called Zoster Sine Herpete. When the pain is increased without rash then this condition is occurred. For elder patient it happens usually. Any other symptoms such as numbness, shooting pain, itching, tingling, fever, headache, nausea and chill may seen without rashes. These cases are very difficult to diagnosis. Bell’s palsy (some parts of patients face become paralyzed ) may be a an indication to this. After the start of Zoster Sine Herpete this pain may last for longer than one month. This situation is called Postherpetic Neuralgia (PHN). This PHN is occurred for 10-20% of patient.

The entire disease process may last for 7 - 10 days. But a person who has this shingles rash may become a cause of spreading chickenpox to another people who does not have chickenpox & those people who never take vaccine of chickenpox.
