This is not common among adults who are in their late thirties or forties. It is important to know the symptoms of type 1 diabetes in men. If a person develops this type of diabetes, insulin is not produced by the pancreas. Insulin is basically a hormone that the pancreas produces. This is involved in the regulation of body for conversion of sugar into energy. People who have developed this kind of diabetes have to take daily injections for insulin. The level of blood sugar has to be checked carefully. This autoimmune disorder involves:
  • Beta cells from pancreas are destroyed. They are mainly responsible for the production of insulin.  Because of this, there is absolute insulin deficiency.
  • As there is absence of insulin moving in the cells, the levels of blood glucose become high. This condition is also known as hyperglycemia.
  • People with this condition have to consume insulin on a daily basis. This is important for their survival.
Type 1 diabetes is not common as type 2 diabetes. The occurrence of this diabetes may be found in all age groups. Usually, they develop in children as well as adolescents. Various symptoms of type 1 diabetes in men are:
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Excessive thirst
  • Extreme hunger
  • Frequent urination
  • Irritable
  • Blurred vision
Hypoglycemia is also caused when the blood sugar level is lower than normal. The condition usually occurs if there is a dropdown of blood sugar level below normal. The patients suffering from this condition should be aware of the symptoms of type1 diabetes for men.  These also include extreme hunger, trembling, confusion, sweating and rapid heartbeat. Patients who are suffering from hypoglycemia are at a very high risk. They must always carry some sugar products with them. They should always be ready if any attack occurs.. Urgent medical attention should be sought if a person develops:
  • Vomiting or nausea
  • Loss of appetite
  • Stomach pain
  • High temperature
  • A fruity smell in breath which smells like nail varnish or pear drops.
  • Frequent urination.
Sometimes, this may lead to comatose. At times, it may lead to death as well.
