Simplest Way to Prevent Colon Polyps Revealed by Doctors and Canadian PharmaciesExercise prevents colon polyps. Dr. Nelson Sanchez, attending physician at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and the author of the study on the association of minimal exercise with the prevention of colon polyps presented their findings during the Digestive Disease Week in Chicago. Results reveal that individuals who exercise at least 1 hour per week have 25.3 percent risk of polyps, while those who exercise less than an hour a week have 33.2 percent risk of polyps. And, higher percentage risk means greater possibility of taking Canadian prescription drugs. The study examined approximately 1,000 patients of various ethnic and racial groups – 56.8 percent are Hispanic, 20.6 percent are Asian, 15.2 percent are black and 7 percent are white. They are middle-aged and without augmented risk for neither colon cancer nor polyps. Roughly two-thirds are overweight and around half exercises not less than 1 hour per week. They all underwent screening colonoscopies for qualitative and quantitative references. Minimal exercises like walking and climbing the stairs can prevent the occurrence of polyps which may later result to cancer. That is, an hour per week of simple and effortless exercise decreases the risk of colon polyps and cancer. This is even more helpful for obese and overweight individuals – exercise is a good alternative to taking Canada drugs. "Exercise is a good thing. It matters in sick people and black people and skinny people and overweight people", is according to Dr. David Weinberg, Chairman of Medicine at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia. The findings of the study are not something unique and new – it is a follow-up and support to what the doctors have always stressed out – to engage in physical activities and stop the dependence on Canadian drugs. The study however, focused on the various ethnic and racial groups. Dr. Sanchez highlighted, "African-Americans are disproportionately impacted by colon cancer. Even within our own sample, blacks had the highest prevalence of polyps and adenomas (benign tumors that can become cancerous). Overweight and obese people are another segment of the population that is at increased risk of colon cancer and colon polyps." “Now
