While there is some portion of the population that doubtlessly finds favor in growing older naturally,The Face Lift: The Same Cause for Different Reasons Articles enjoying every new line and gray hair they see in the mirror, they are likely in the minority. We live in a culture that celebrates youth. Combine that with the fact that few people like the idea of finding themselves over the halfway mark of their natural life expectancy, and you get a situation where nearly everyone would like to be younger. Since that isn't possible, looking younger is a nice alternative. Thankfully, that is possible. Of course, everyone has their own reasons for considering a face lift. Here are some of them. Career Conventional wisdom might say that, unless you work in movies, there's no reason to have a face lift for career advancement. If that's so, then conventional wisdom may be wrong. Both men and women can often do better in their fields if they look younger. You don't even have to be in a position that involves dealing with the public. Companies associate youth with vibrancy and ingenuity. They associate age with impending retirement and fatigue. No employer who wants to stay out of court will admit it, but there's almost no doubt that, given the same age and qualifications, the younger looking guy (or gal) is going to get the job more often than not. Suddenly Old Syndrome We think of age as something that creeps slowly over our visage, and that is indeed the way it happens. The problem is: it moves so slowly that most of us don't notice it happening. That is, until we look in the mirror one day and realize that our faces don't look the way they used to. There are a few more wrinkles, the jowls are hanging a bit more, and there's some puffiness around our eyes that didn't used to be there. Often, people are looking for a face lift because the reflection they see in the mirror isn't one they recognize as themselves. Matching The Body It's very frustrating for a man or woman who has spent a lot of time, energy, and focus on keeping their bodies in immaculate condition to realize that there's nothing natural they can do that will stop their faces from aging. Sure, there are the OTC moisturizers and lotions, but those usually fall far short of dramatic results. Many people seek out a plastic surgeon for a face lift because they want to match the body they've worked so hard on to stay youthful. Fortunately, a good plastic surgeon can do just that.
