According to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons anybody considering having cosmetic surgery should spend a considerable amount of time researching their options and finding a suitable provider.  All plastic surgeons who are accredited in the UK are listed on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery which is regulated by the General Medical Council (GMC). It is therefore advised that anyone considering having cosmetic surgery should check to ensure that their cosmetic surgeon is on the Specialist Register. It is also advisable to choose a cosmetic surgery clinic which is well established and where you personally feel comfortable with the care you received on your consultation.

Dr Daniel Goldberg, Medical Director at The Hurlingham Clinic in London states ‘’it is vital for any good cosmetic surgeon to spend a substantial amount of time with his patients to ensure that they can make an informed decision when opting to have cosmetic surgery’’
