The sun is so lovely,The Positive And Negatives Of The Sun's Ray Articles big, and bright.  As enjoyable as it can be to spend your days in the great outdoors it is important to realize that the big lovely looking sun isn't all that it is cracked up to be.  The sun is beautiful and can be a source of heat, comfort, even vitamins however its effects are not all positive and if you're someone who likes spending time in the great outdoors then there are some things that you need to know.

To start with, while high SPF sunscreen products do help reduce the harmful effects of the sun’s rays they don't entirely block the sun nor do they effectively block all the sun’s rays.  Sun block is something that a lot of people think of as the equivalent of the shade but in essence it's not nearly this effective.   people that  like to spend time in the great outdoors know that you can’t spend all of your time in the sun and if you do you also need to take breaks and try to limit your daily sun exposure.

Experts agree that even though research is not really available that it's safer to limit your amount of daily sun exposure and allow it to develop over time.  This over time will offer less harmful effects to the skin however will still allow the individual to experience some of the fantastic benefits that the sun’s rays do offer which the medical professionals often downplay when it comes to discussing the sun.

The sun isn't only a source of vitamins and energy but is also very effective for those looking to overcome depression.  Depression has become more prevalent then ever in our society and the sun can act as a therapy to help improve the individual’s attitude and over all health.  It's actually believed that it is the amount that individuals are limiting their exposure to the sun that is actually a primary contributing factor to the amount of depression that is affecting society as a whole.

Tanning in a tanning bed is no safer for your skin and does not offer the many positive benefits that you can get by spending even just a few minutes out in the sunshine.  While watching sun exposure and limiting it is important it is also important not to go without this important source of vitamins, energy, and health.  Balance is the key to reaping the benefits of the sun without having to suffer the consequences.
