One of the most debated and interesting themes in recent years is that of
plastic surgery. More and more women and men decide to use it while many others
are wondering whether it is really so necessary.
Plastic surgery is a branch of surgery that seeks to correct the functional and
morphological defects or the loss of substance of different tissues both
congenital and due to trauma, tumors or degenerative diseases. There are
therefore two aspects of this phenomenon, linked both to the shape of our body
but in a totally different way. Plastic surgery is one of the few surgical
specialization not "district" or "apparatus" and then work
on any district of the body. This implies that plastic surgery has various
sub-specialties: surgery of the head and neck, breast surgery, surgery of the
hand, body sculpting (the body-contouring), lower limb surgery, surgery of
burns and aesthetic plastic surgery (which is a branch of plastic surgery, and
does not exist as isolated specialization).
The reasons that lead to an intervention of this kind can be both functional
and psychological, then it is not only women and actresses who do not want to
show the signs of aging on their bodies, but also people who feel uncomfortable
because of some flaws that prevent them from living peacefully or even people
who have suffered serious accidents or illnesses. And in any case the
opportunity of each intervention is assessed by the doctor in the pre-operative
interview.
Concerning in particular the appearance, our opinion, that is how we see ourselves
at the mirror and how we feel, every day is put in comparison with the opinion
of others, or as others see us and judge us.
Sometimes the insecurity that causes a defect in appearance, may arise because
the image of ourselves that we see in the mirror does not match the image of
how we feel inside, how we really are. Behold then the aesthetic plastic
surgery can take action to restore that balance that we have lost over the
years with the passage of time, or that we never had.
Often, rightly or wrongly, what matters is the physical and aesthetic judgment,
as it is the first thing that comes to our eyes. It is therefore natural that
everyone wants to feel beautiful and wish to be, because beauty is often
synonymous with success and safety, both at work and in interpersonal
relationships. Then through aesthetic plastic surgery we want to be more
confident in ourselves re-gaining a greater self-esteem, and also be safer with
people in everyday life.
Furthermore, over the years our bodies and our appearance are subject to the signs
of aging and maturity. It is only natural that through plastic surgery you want
to search rejuvenation to counteract the aging process and thus to rejuvenate both
physically and in mind.
