Other milder herbal laxatives such as cascara sagrada and senna are usually recommended first.

 Use aloe vera to treat acne, eczema, arthritis and oily skin. Squeeze the juice out onto the troubled skin and rub it in. Aloe Vera has a softening and moisturising agent, making it great for skin care products. Rest a fresh leaf directly on the wound as it will help relieve the pain. Apply more fresh Aloe Vera frequently over the first 24 hours. Commercially, aloe can be found in pills, sprays, ointments, lotions, liquids, drinks, jellies, and creams, to name a few of the thousands of products available.

Aloe is secure when used in moderation, but there are some contraindications. If you have a heart problem and employ any kind of digitalis medication, consult your doctor before using any aloe product internally, as the interaction may cause irregular heartbeat. Avoid using aloe vera internally. If consumed, aloe vera can cause intestinal pain. Aloe vera can cause dry skin. If this is a problem, use a moisturizer along with the aloe vera. Vitamin E also helps dry skin. Aloe Vera can trigger uterine contractions and must not be taken by pregnant women. Children should not be given aloe vera internally too.
