Increase your water intake- It may sound paradoxical, but many are of the opinion that increasing the intake of water daily can help lower water retention. When you drink more water, you’ll urinate more and pass more salt from your body

Reduce the amount of sugar you eat- Refined carbs in bread, crackers, cookies and snacks can contribute to water retention. Since these foods are bad for you anyways, limiting them is highly recommended. They increase insulin levels making it more difficult for excess fluid to leave your system.
