3.      Do not   skip meals.  Skipping   meals   send   the   wrong   signals   to   the   brain and the brain slows down metabolism to conserve energy, thus causing fat storage in the body longer.  If   you   do not want to eat three square meals a day, try meal supplements.   There are meal supplements   made   from   natural   healthy    foods, choose those that are low   in calories but rich in energy   boosters.

 

4.       Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables; but avoid eating too many vegetables that are starchy or rich in carbohydrates like corn and potato.

 

5.      Cook foods by broiling, steaming,   and   roasting.  Avoid fried foods.

 

6.      Eat fish and white meat only.  If   you   must, choose  lean meat.

 

7.      Exercise regularly. If you do not want to enroll in expensive gyms and perform complicated exercises, do fun activities like swimming, biking, hiking, jogging, jumping rope,   skating, and dancing.

 

8.      Sleep at least 8 hours a day;   this will prevent   stress that triggers craving for food.

 

9.       Stop smoking and heavy drinking.

 

10.  Eat whole grain foods   or   breads.

 

11.  Avoid junk foods, sweets, chocolate, ice cream, and cookies.

 

12.   Practice self-leadership and self-discipline.

 

These are simple but effective pointers that can guide you in your weight loss and exercise regimen for healthy living.
