Let's face it,What to do for Constipation - Simple Steps to Follow Articles being constipated is one of the most painful, annoying experiences we go through. It is important to know exactly what to do for constipation so when it does happen, you are prepared and can get through it right away. There are many different methods that work and below I will tell you what to do for constipation that has been proven to be the most effective. 1. Exercise more: When you workout, it helps to get all the systems in your body running more smoothly. This includes your digestive system as well which is exactly what gets backed up when you're constipated. By working out, you make your digestive system work much harder and faster and this alone can sometimes ease your constipation. You should be exercising anyway even if you're not backed up because it's good for you all around. If you're not currently going to the gym or doing exercises at home, now is the perfect chance to start. Try and do some high-intensity workouts at least 3 times a week for about an hour each time. Then on your days off from the gym, you want to still remain active. Go for a walk at night and take the stairs over elevators. All these little things add up and a lot of people have said that when they are constipated and they workout, they are able to go very soon after. 2. Clean up your diet: Your diet plays a huge role in becoming constipated. A lot of people that don't know what to do for constipation need to look no further than what they are putting in their body every day. There are certain foods that can cause constipation and certain foods that help it to go away. First, let's talk about what foods you should avoid. Basically anything with a high fat content such as meat that is not lean. Other things you should avoid or limit are coffee, soda, and sugars. Coffee and soda dehydrate your body and then your waste is not able to absorb any water and it becomes too hard and difficult to pass through. Now for what you should be eating. The most important thing to consume when you're trying to ease constipation is fiber. Fiber helps to clean out your digestive system and also makes your waste softer so it can be released easier without getting backed up. The best sources of fiber are: vegetables, fruits, raw nuts, oats, and whole grains. Start adding those into your diet every day and you shouldn't have to worry about what to do for constipation anymore. Along with eating a lot of fiber, you need to be drinking a good amount of water daily. Water keeps your body hydrated which allows your waste to absorb the water and keep it soft. This will lessen your chance of becoming constipated. Drink at the very least 64 oz of water per day. The more you can consume, the better. 3. Never "hold it": The last thing you need to know about what to do for constipation is to not ignore your body telling you it needs to relieve itself. When you have to go to the bathroom and you don't allow the waste to get out, it starts to decay in your intestines and becomes very hard. Once it's hard, it is much more difficult to produce a bowel movement later on when you try to go. On top of that, the matter starts to build up on the intestinal walls over time which could lead to more problems later on down the road. Bottom line is, when you need to go to the bathroom, just go. It will be much better for you. I hope now you have a good idea on what to do for constipation.
