No wonder we are all confused.Here's the scoop...digital is nothing more than a storage system. That's it. In the olden days, the light (and therefore the photograph) was stored on film. Now the light is stored on a digital memory card.They may sound complex and digital systems may have a pretty steep learning curve...but the same basic photo strategies and techniques still apply. digital is nothing more than a storage system. Keep that in mind and you will be shooting better digital photography faster than you may have thought possible.That's it. Pretty simple, huh?The higher the number of mega pixels our digital storage system has, the more detail we can record. Which means the photo will hold together for larger and larger prints.This is actually the same as film - but in reverse. With film, the lower the "speed" the more the film can record. So, for the photo to hold together on enlargements, you would want a lower speed film or a higher number of mega pixels.The photography is the same. Learn good camera strategies and techniques and you will be able to get good photos whether shooting film OR digital.
