Digital Photography Training - The Overlooked Step!
Interested in digital photography training? Have you got a digital camera and you aren't quite sure how to get the stunning photos you KNOW you are capable of shooting? Well, you are in luck! I'm abou...
First let me preface this with a warning...
This technique works! It works fast and works for everyone. Plus as mentioned, it's free.
But, it isn't one of the exotic, sexy sounding (mostly useless) photography tips we are used to reading.
Here is the bad news...this technique is downright boring. But the trade off is that you will see an immediate improvement in your photography - no matter what level you are currently starting from.
Would you be willing to put up with a couple hours of boredom for a lifetime of stunning photos?
Sounds good? Ok, here we go.
The first technique you need to master in your digital photography training is to - read your camera's manual!
Have you read it? Recently? Ever? Can you even find it?
Then read the manual for your flash, then read any other equipment manuals you may have gotten and tossed into a junk drawer somewhere.
I'd venture to guess that 90% of all difficulty you encounter in your photography could be easily resolved if you had a thorough understanding of your equipment and how it works.
Plus, as you read and as you learn all the inner workings and magical things your camera can do, creative ideas will start popping into your head
Pick up your manual - and your camera - start with page one at go through the manual page by page. This is the best digital photography training you could ever ask for!
Make sure to locate all the buttons, try all the settings and so on...Never turn to the next page until you completely understand the page you are on.
As a side note...professionals in EVERY field concentrate on mastering the basics! You can't break the rules (effectively) if you don't know them!
We all know that Martha Stewart has built a very successful business empire out of her catering business - but were you aware that she learned to cook by picking up the "Betty Crocker" cookbook and starting on page one? She started cooking that recipe until she had it mastered...then she moved to the next page! By the time she got through the whole book, she was a master caterer (and rich too)!
This one tip isn't just for digital photography training but for mastering any skill! Sit down - today - and start going through your manual. Go ahead, yawn and be bored, but tomorrow your photos will be better - and will get even more and more stunning down the road.
