In America,Guide for Creating Customized Mugs Articles we have gotten a little crazy about our coffee drinking. What with Starbucks, Borders and Books-a-million supplying our caffeine needs, we are sure to get our coffee-fix everyday.

But if you like to make a pot of Java at home, what better way to enjoy your cup of coffee than in your own personalized mug. You can buy one of course, but it is not hard to make one. They also make terrific gifts for members of your family and close friends.

To make a customized coffee mug, first you need to choose the mug. You can go online and find a wide variety of coffee mugs, and instead of getting one you could order a couple at a reduced rate, so you have them on hand. Or you can go in any retail store and find some there too. Either way, look for plain colors so you have an area to work.

Next, decide how you want to decorate your mug; with your name, a graphic design printed from the web, or with oil based paint you could paint a skyscape or a flower bouquet. Leave it up to whatever talents you have, but remember the mug will have to go in water at some point. Magic Markers can be used too.

To attach your design try super glue or another waterproof glue. Any crafts store would have that. Be sure to let your mug dry and presto! You’ve got a meaningful gift for a friend or the perfect mug for yourself. Enjoy!
