First, check your connection. Turn off your modem and router. Wait 10 to 20 secs and turn them on. Please make sure the blue Ethernet cable has connected the modem to the router. If that doesn't work, your DNS problem with PS3 probably has to do with the router.
In order to test your router, you can plug your PS3 directly into you modem. Press the reset button on the modem and go to the network settings. After that, check your connection.
