I am sure everyone, no matter where you live in the U.S., has had an outdoor occasion get rained out before. Then there is the “what should we do now” feeling that comes over everyone. Should we simply cancel the occasion? Should we try and postpone it to another date? You may have an option you did not consider. Let me tell you how instead of having the rain rain on your picnic parade you bring it inside for some indoor fun.

When the rain is coming down outside you may feel the need to cancel or postpone an outdoor picnic. Canceling something that everyone has looked forward to for so
long is hopefully not an option to you. At the same time today it seems everyone is too busy to make a postponed date for an outdoor event that has been planned weeks
or even months in advance. So often times most people will not be able to make the rescheduled date. So why not have your picnic indoors and enjoy your family and
friends company? It may not quite be the same as an outdoor picnic but if you come prepared you can turn what seems like a drab indoor party into the warm bright
party you had originally been hoping for.

There may not be a substitute for the warm sun on your face and the cool breeze keeping you cool but there are ways to make you feel you are somewhere else where you
wish you were. Themes can be a great party or picnic idea inside or out. If you plan on having a themed picnic outside but have to move it indoors due to bad weather
you will be more prepared and capable of lightening up what could seem like a dull party inside.

Having a theme allows you to brighten up the party no matter the location. It also allows you to have picnics all year round no matter where you live. Enjoy a beach
themed December Picnic or maybe a Christmas in July Picnic. I am not saying you should have all of your picnics inside. Only saying this could help you have a better
time if the picnic has to move there.

If you wanted to have a Christmas in July theme you can hang up lights and decorations inside or out. You could play your favorite gift exchange game like Dirty
Bingo. You could even listen to Christmas music the whole time or sing Christmas Carols if you like to do so. Depending on the availability you could have some
alcoholic eggnog of which there are many recipes found online. You could bake cookies into your favorite Christmas characters and wash the m down with some nice cold
milk. Anything Christmas becomes an option for you to change it up a bit and enjoy yourselves.

Not everyone celebrates Christmas of course and some that do may not feel like they want to have another Christmas in the middle of summer. After all in the northern
U.S. the summers have been too short and the winters too long as of late. There are plenty of bright warm weather themes you could have for a picnic. Any tropical
location with a unique culture could qualify as a good theme for your picnic. Some examples could be a Jamaican,The Rainy Day Picnic Parade Articles Hawaiian, or beach themed picnic. Bring anything
specific to your theme to the picnic. Obviously don’t make a sandbox of your living room but you can sit on some beach towels or blankets. Come dressed in swimming
suits and bring your surfboard for decoration.

Don’t limit yourself to just warm weather themes or holiday themes. There are an unlimited amount of possibilities here. You could have a Chinese theme picnic and
eat your favorite American Chinese food. You could have a fall indoor picnic if it is too cold outside and have the kids carve some pumpkins. If your whole family is
into a certain sports team wear your favorite jerseys and other apparel. Anything at all you want really.
