If the post-Christmas winter blues has got you down,Valentine Ribbon Fun Articles cheer your home up with some decorations and crafts with ribbon for Valentine’s Day. Spread the love this holiday by creating ribbon crafts with your family to decorate your home and share with others.

Get everyone in the mood by having your family create swags for your fireplace or staircase banister. Use white ribbon, red mini lights, and pink and red hearts.  Loosely wrap the ribbon and lights together and drape around the banister or fireplace.  Cut small and medium sized hearts out of pink and red patterned papers, punch a hole in the tops, and hang them with pink and red ribbons from the white ribbon swag. Not only will the swag add some color to your home, but will help get everyone in the holiday mood.

Stage your dining room for a special Valentine’s Day dinner. To dress up a simple white tablecloth, lay red and pink assorted ribbons of varying widths along the length and width of your table. You can also use Valentine patterned ribbon for a special touch. Once you’ve created a pleasing pattern, add a covering of a sheer shimmery fabric. A simple centerpiece can complete the look.  A floral bouquet flanked by candles would be lovely. Or several flowering plants wrapped in red or pink chiffon held in place with ribbon and a bow would be beautiful as well.

Use ribbon and candy to create gorgeous Valentine necklaces that both adults and kids will love. Select hard candy that is individually sealed to design a no-mess necklace that is perfect for classroom parties, teachers gifts, Valentine’s Day party favors, or to wear just for fun. Hole punch the end of the candy wrappers and add reinforcement labels. Hole punch just one end for dangling candy or both ends to thread the entire candy on the ribbon. Once the necklace is complete, cut the excess ribbon and seal the ends with clear nail polish to keep it from fraying.  This project is a lot fun for the whole family.

Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without creating some valentines for your loved ones. Select two pieces of cardstock in white, pink or red, and cut out two identical hearts. While holding the hearts on top of one another, hole punch holes along the edges of the hearts. Select a thin satin ribbon to thread through the holes around the hearts and tie in a bow at the top. Write your message of love or friendship within the heart and give to that special someone. Your homemade valentine will show just how much you care.

The weather outside may be cold, but these Valentine’s Day crafts are sure to warm your home and family this winter!
