It's free to join and offers thousands of products for your to “sell” - mostly in the form of informational ebooks. There are other associations, but Clickbank is the easiest for newbies.

Once you join Clickbank, you will then chose a product that you think you can sell. Something, possibly, that you are familiar and comfortable with. Something that you know a bit about. So chose your product and get your affiliate link. The next step is to promote your product. You can do this in several different ways – the most common and, again, FREE, is to write articles about your product or subject and post them on some of the hundreds of article submission sites.

And that's it in a nutshell! People will read your articles, and if the information is what they are looking for they will click on your link and be taken to the sales page for your product. If they decide to purchase the product – you get a commission. What could be easier than that?

Another, and more lucrative way to begin affiliate marketing is through a “school”. An online school. An affiliate marketing school will cost you some money – usually a monthly fee. However, you will learn affiliate marketing much faster and be exposed to all the ins and outs of the field. You'll learn about the faster and more lucrative aspects of affiliate marketing like, PPC ads and setting up your own landing and squeeze pages. None of these methods of affiliate marketing are very difficult to do, but having it all laid out for can can be immensely helpful for the newcomer.
