If you don’t really know how to make article marketing work,Article Marketing – The Power of Titles Articles then you’re just wasting a lot of time writing the articles.

Why?  Because if you don’t have titles that attract and draw people to your articles, then no one is going to read them.  Your headline, more than anything else, will determine if your article gets read or not.  Without magnetic headlines you might as well give up on article marketing.

Sure your articles are categorized on the different article directories.  But if you’re writing for a large niche your competition will be fierce.  That categorization alone is not going to get anyone to read your article.

Your headline is the very first thing people see about your article.  And when faces with a long list of articles to choose from, people are going to be very quick to judge.  And remember, you never get a second chance to make a good first impression.

One of the most common misconceptions about articles online is that people will browse.  People may browse at a book store, but not in an online article directory.  They are there to learn a specific thing, and then get out and use what they’ve learned.  Quick in, quick out.  That’s why these directories have search functions.  And if your articles don’t have snappy, attracting titles, who’s going to take the time to investigate further.

Suppose your article appears on Google’s search results page.  People still have to decide which of the results to check out.  You better have a good title in order to get that click.

So how do you create snappy, magnetic titles?  Use keywords.

Remember that most people looking for information search for it.  They don’t browse for it.  They use a search engine, or the search function of an article directory.  They are going to use search terms to find what they are looking for.  And search terms are the same thing as keywords.  Two names, from two different perspectives, for the same thing.

The search function will match the searcher’s search term with keywords used by the article’s author.  And if you use effective keywords in your title, (and elsewhere in your article), your article will be matched up with those looking for its content.

Your title needs to use effective keywords.  That is the first place the search functions will look. And that is the first place human eyes will look to see what your article is all about.

So, if you want to get the most out of your article marketing efforts, you need to master how to select the most effective keywords, so you can make snappy, clever, attracting, keyword rich article titles.
