This is a brief introduction to the most common issues people face when trying to start working at home, and that make many times give up at early stages.
I intend here to establish some basic help points for anyone establishing with a home job.
How many times have you heard (or read) that all sites offering people to work from home are total scams, that you better "look for a real job", that nobody makes money, that it is a waste of time, etc.
Of course is not easy starting a home job or business, so I`m going to mention what I think are the common mistakes a person make when trying to find a home job:
1) First of all you must understand that a work from home is still working. Generally we think that staying at home means no work at all (this kind of misperceptions is what scammers exploit in their favor). Of course you can manage your time freedomly, but at the end you`ll have to achieve some results to show, other way nobody is going to hire you.
2) Second is the difference between an employee and a self-employee. Being an employee is pretty much the same like working in an office, but in your home. You work under your employer tutorial, and probably won`t have much freedom.As a self-employee you decide whom are you are working for, just like a contractor. In the first option you don`t have to pay anything and if a website ask you for some kind of startup fee is a scam for sure. But if you`d like to work under a contract basis you`ll probably need to invest some money, to acquire some tools or get listing of companys hiring self-employees.
3) Third mistake is confusing between a home business and a home job. If you get paid by a company for doing a job (that you can not delegate), is a home job, even as employed or self employed. If you sell a product or service, and you don`t have to perform necesarilly all the work (you can delegate), is a home business.
Of course this a brief introduction to home jobs/business issues. But misunderstanding some concepts is what lead people to believe that home jobs offers are scams. There are legit opportunities out there, just take the time to review them. The best method to do this is trough search engines. Firts, type the program or website name followed by the word scam; then look up the results: If you see a lot of results where people introduced bad comments in forums. message boards. etc., probably is not reliable.
But remember, the way of success is also about trying and making mystakes. So you`ll have to start your own.
