Most people are preprogrammed into the corporate world by our environment,Corporate Ladder vs Home Business Articles education, society and our parents. It’s true our parents were brought-up to think that everyone should get a good education and enter the business world by working for some corporation. This guarantees a steady pay check and provides opportunity to advance your life. You’ll start at the bottom of the ladder working 40 plus hours a week answering to your supervisors. You’ll compete against other employees to make a good impression with your boss, with hopes of a raise in salary or a promotion or even a bonus. Personalities will clash, arguments are common, back stabbing exists and the fighting doesn’t go unnoticed. You’ll be promised the world by the corporate officers, whom look after themselves, only because they’ve climbed the ladder. Your new money making idea will be stolen by your boss, so he can reap the benefits. You’ll spend years fighting your own way up the ladder to find out the company is selling, or maybe out of business, or the top corporate executives have been embezzling the company profits. Remember the ones you were promised for your bonus and salary raise.

However, the corporate job has its benefits. You have a steady pay check. They typically provide medical benefits and paid vacation time. Some companies offer a retirement package, 401k program. Some companies provide automobiles with free gas and expense accounts. You even get a very nice title that looks good on a business card. The corporate world is where 90% of the population receives its income. The education programs, colleges and universities, prepare us for the corporate world. We exit with education degrees; associates, bachelor, master and doctorate degrees. Each degree provides the individual with the necessary education to enter a corporation at a particular level of the ladder. Each level has a corresponding salary. Regardless of what level you enter the corporate ladder, you will always answer to someone and you must prove yourself. In fact, you must prove yourself every day.

Home businesses are becoming more popular because people have experienced the corporate world. Home businesses are providing opportunities that many individuals didn’t know existed. Women that stay home to raise their children are finding out that part time they can run a business from home. People are realizing that they really don’t fit in the corporate world and open a home business. People realize that the benefits to a home business are quite rewarding; no traffic, no weather limitations, NO BOSS, no employees to fight with. Since the inception of the computer and the internet, individuals find running a home business is incredible easy. Everything is automated and in many cases you have no contact with other people. However, there is plenty of opportunity to communicate with other people all across the world. You’re not confined with just the people of the corporation. You can converse with the entire globe.

People that have started their own home business receive more gratification with running their own company than managing someone else’s. Their schedule is flexible to meet their own requirements. They can spend more time with their families and friends and doing the things which make them happy. They vacation in exotic places and longer than the corporate company allows. They give themselves raises and bonuses and don’t worry about embezzlement from employees. Their salaries are higher than they could ever receive from a corporate company. People have increased their salaries to six and seven figure incomes.

The corporate ladder or home business is up to each individual to determine their own destiny. You can follow the preprogrammed mechanism or create your own destiny.
