Diversifying Your Income

Expanding your online income is one of the main things you should know when you have a website.

Assuming you have most of your ads with Google AdSense. Let’s suppose it makes up 90% of your website's income. What if Google suspend your account! You would lose 90% of your website's revenue, then what would you do? Can you recover immediately?For most, it would be very difficult.

Therefore if you have a website, diversify your earnings by not only utilizing Pay Per Click sponsors, but perhaps use a Direct Leads sponsor, a cost per action sponsor, or by promoting products or services and be paid a commission for it.

You just need to look at the performance of your website. One way of doing this is by checking which banners and ads are doing well and which ones are not. It's also an excellent idea to alternate your banners every few months anyway to get "fresh blood" on your site. Yourvisitors will become "banner blind" after sometime and will eventually overlook all of your ads and banners.

Creating other websites is another way of increasing one’s earnings. Now, I have several sites that I build earnings from. Google banned one of my sites from their search engine around 4 months ago! Among internet marketers, this is a familiar occurrence. It seems that they regard my website as a link farm because of the loads of outgoing links to sponsor ads. At that time, I was being paid around $1000 a month for that website.Can you imagine the disaster if I didn’t have my other sites to pick up the slack?

Another way to develop your websites is to have some of them on various servers. Hosting is dirt cheap these days. Let’s suppose throw one or two of them up on a $5.99 a month server and pay for a year's worth of hosting, you're doing the right thing. Not only does it have search engine benefits, but if one of your servers should go down, not all of your websites are down at once.

If you want to earn the most money online then you absolutely need to multiply your income streams.
