Domotex in Hannover: the flooring and carpet fair

The fair, which takes place every year in January in Hannover (the next fair will be held from the 15th t the 18th of January 2011), is one of the main events in this field, well-known by all those who work in this field and all over the world. The international vocation of the fair is one of the features that most distinguish Domotex: many visitors and exhibitors come from abroad, and this is an evidence of the international renown of this happening.

 

Domotex can undoubtedly be described as one of the main international flooring and carpet fairs, and the results achieved in the past are a clear evidence of this: about 1.400 exhibitors coming from 70 different countries, 40.000 visitors (a number that is ever-growing year after year), 3 days entirely dedicated to flooring, carpets and more. These are the numbers of Domotex, which is more and more considered as a landmark as far as carpets is concerned.

 

There are many sectors in the fair: from carpets to parquet flooring, from laminate flooring to textiles, from associations to magazines working in this field, which are always represented in a good way. However, carpets are the protagonists of the fair, and there is always a great and variegated range of carpets: every year the Hannover expo hosts manufacturers of traditional and modern carpets, Iranian and Chinese carpets, carpets from Egypt, Afghanistan, India, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia and Turkey. All the countries that have a long and famous tradition in the field of carpet production have their stalls in Hannover, a city that is turned into the capital city of carpets for three days. If you are carpet manufacturers or sellers, Domotex is one of those events which you cannot forget.

 

When we speak about carpets, we do not only refer to the ancient carpets to put in the living room and to show off as real precious or design objects. The world of carpets includes also other, maybe less precious items, which are certainly useful in each house. This is the case of bath mats, of rugs for external spaces and for all of those places where a precious carpet might get damaged. Also this category of rugs is represented in the fair, with special areas and stalls. There is always space for bedside rugs, for stair rugs, for doormats, for bath mats and so on.

 

As above mentioned, Domotex does not only give space to carpets, but also to flooring. The parquet exhibition is notably one of the main features of Domotex. Parquet is still very popular, and the number of exhibitors of this product in the fair is always considerable.
