Dunwoody, Georgia, is a suburb of Atlanta, located 14 miles north of the bustling core of the metropolitan area. Predominately a white, professional community, it has a population of just over 32,000, according to the 2000 census, with a median household income of $82,838. More than 65% of residents over the age of 25 hold bachelor's degrees, a far higher rate than in the U.S. or Georgia as a whole.

Dunwoody maintains its small town atmosphere through attention to amenities such as local parks, organizations and annual festivals.
