A lot of people are using essential oils for their health and beauty regimes. However,Home Cleaning With Lavender Essential Oils Articles you can also use them for your home cleaning. Indeed, home cleaning with essential oils is a way to make sure your house is sparkling, while at the same time making sure you don't damage the environment, and your own health. Because you will no longer use chemicals in the products you are in direct contact with, you will create a much healthier environment. Added to that the fact that the essential oils have health benefits in their own right, and the fact that you will save money, it becomes clear why we should all be using these products.

I personally use lavender essential oil in my home cleaning in a variety of different ways. My personal favorite is the all-purpose cleaner, which can be done with various aromatherapy oils, but I find lavender works the best. Simply use some dish washing detergent (opt for a green one) to some water and add about five drops of lavender oil. It is perfect for cleaning your bathroom, kitchen or any other surface for that matter. I also always add a few drops of lavender oil to my bedding wash. Lavender is very soothing and calming, making it perfect for the bedroom. When your washing comes out smelling of delicious lavender, you will enjoy the most restful night's sleep ever. You could also choose to add a few more drops to a little cloth, which you can then keep underneath your pillow. Lavender has been used in the bedroom for hundreds of years, and for good reason.

There are a few things to consider first, however. Firstly, aromatherapy oil is not always the same as essential oil, mainly because aromatherapy versions can contain petroleum as well. This is because real essential oils can be quite harsh on the skin, whereas aromatherapy oils have to be used with direct skin to skin contact. This brings in the second word of warning: avoid direct contact with the skin when you are handling your essential lavender oil. Finally, I find that you should try to mix and match things as you go along. For instance, vinegar mixed with water and lemon oil is perfect for cleaning glass. However, why not choose lavender instead? You will need a bit more elbow grease to get your windows clean, but the smell is divine! Similarly, why do we always choose pine or chamomile to clean our floors? Again, you can replace this with lavender for a gorgeously clean and nice smelling room. Finally, add a few drops to the filter of your vacuum cleaner and you will spread the scent all through your home
