HOW TO CLEAN A LEATHER SOFA?

FOLLOW THESE STEPS FOR  SOFA CLEANING: 

• Vacuum the Leather: Begin your cleaning from Vacuuming the leather. It will suck all the heavy particles of dust and as leather sofas do not have pores and fibres, vacuuming is easy on it. If the cushions are removable, vacuum the undersides. If you have a recliner, they tend to collect more dust in the bottom.

• Work on stains: Take a mild dishwashing soap and warm water and mix them well. Then take a clean white cloth or towel and dip into it that makes it damp. And now move it into circular motion at a medium pace. Don’t run your hand in upside down motion as it makes the stain more stubborn. If there is a grease stain on it, then you should use a dry cloth and baking soda so that it can absorb its stickiness. • It's Time to Dry: Never skip this step. Water is the leading culprit that tends your sofa’s leather weak. Always dry your sofa before conditioning it.

• Time to Use Cleaners: Leather cleaners and conditioner breaks down the left heavy dust and dirt stains and makes your sofa like brand new. Some brands are 2 in 1, cleaner with conditioner which is available in the market. If you don’t have, Just take a bit amount of the cleaner on a clean white cloth or towel and rub it in a straight line motion. Make sure to condition each corner of the sofa.

• Conditioning the Sofa: After applying cleaner on the surface and corners of the sofa, remove excess cleaner before conditioning the couch. Now take the conditioner no matter in spray or bottle form on a clean white cloth or towel and apply it in the round and round motion on the whole surface and corners of the sofa. Conditioning makes the sofa fresh and makes smell sweet.

• Final touch: after conditioning the sofa, let it dry for at least 2-3 hours. And after drying, your leather sofa will look like as brand new showroom piece.
