The easiest and most refreshing explanation for “Network Marketing” that you'll ever see. Most people tend to over-complicate the definition of Network Marketing, and that can have a direct impact on how successful you become. Live by the rule "A Confused Person Always Says 'NO' or Quits", and you can grow your business much faster.

Here is one very simple definition you can use.

Network Marketing is easy to define if you start with the activities that the name “Network Marketing” says you do. You Network,Network Marketing, MLM, Direct sales, What Is It? Articles and you Market. You "Network" with people you know, and with people you encounter every day. And you are "Marketing" two things to those people. 1) A product or service of your choice, and 2) Your business opportunity. Hence the name "Network Marketing".

It sounds simple, because the concept at its core is simple. Let's define it a little more. You become an independent business owner. You then have the ability to promote (market) a product or service of your choice. You then network with people you know, family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, business associates, members of clubs you belong to, pretty much anyone you interact with on any given day, and you simply mention your product to them.

Any interested people will buy from you rather than from a retail store down at the local mall. A very simple concept and unique product distribution system.

Then while you are networking to get customers, some of those people will be curious about how you became a business owner and want to become a Network Marketing representative, just like you did. With me so far? See, I told you it's easy to understand when properly explained.

It's not complicated. In Network Marketing, you do two things. 1) You get a few customers who buy your product or service, and 2) You help other people become business owners, just like you. When the people you helped to become business owners gather a few customers (just like you did), you get paid on their sales as well as your own sales.

The concept of the business model is this...As a Business Owner, you only have to gather just a few customers yourself, not thousands or tens of thousands, and then by helping other people become business owners, in other words, duplicating yourself and your efforts, you can get paid on thousands or even tens of thousands of customers.

Most people who fully understand that concept become business owners through some form of Network Marketing.

In short, what you are doing is duplicating yourself and your efforts. Have you heard the famous saying by J. Paul Getty? He said ”I’d rather have 1% of the effort of 100 people, than 100% of my own effort”. What Mr. Getty understood is that you only have 24 hours in a day, and you can only do so much yourself in those 24 hours. Without the help and efforts of other people, your income is limited to your personal effort.

Let me ask you this. If you own any business, would you rather try to find 10,000 customers using just your own efforts, or would you rather have a team of people who help you gather 10,000 customers, and you still get paid on all 10,000 customers? It's an easy decision.

So now you have a very easy definition of Network Marketing. The best thing you can do is look for simple ways to explain other areas in the industry. Make sense doesn't it. Keep things simple in order to grow your business at its maximum potential.
