The Skil Saw 5680-01 is a new improved circular saw from Skil. The 5680-01 comes with safety features for minimizing the hazards involved in using power saw. First of all the Skil has added an LED which switches on as soon as the cord is plugged in to remind you that the saw is now powered on. The Anti Snag Lower Guard is a useful feature added to the Skil 5680-01. The anti snag guard checks any small cut offs from being caught. The guard pushes back out of the way whenever a thin cut is being made to ensure smooth operation. Once the cut has been made, the guard snaps back to its normal position.

The 5680-01 has a strong steel plate which can withstand the abuse at the jobsite. A thin plate bends and affects the accuracy of the cuts but with a sturdy foot plate like the Skil’s, you can get a perfect accuracy in cuts. Also the foot plate is wide giving you more stability and control over the machine. Other features of 5680-01 responsible for perfect accuracy are the one beam cut line laser and the rear depth adjustment lever. With the rear depth adjustment lever you can set the depth of the cuts according to the requirements of the job; while with the laser beam provides the perfect cut in a relatively shorter period of time.

The 71/4 inch 24 tooth carbide blade effectively cuts through a variety of materials. The motor is powerful and the ball bearing construction guarantees a longer life.
