Even though it’s well-known for its use in underground train stations around the world, subway tile works just as well if not better in the home. This uniquely shaped option is one you can’t afford to overlook, especially for the back splash. Here is a quick introduction that will give you the basics.

For the most part you’ll find that these are used on the wall.  That’s because they work so well for this application.  This could be in any room of the house but without doubt most often they are used to create a subway tile back splash in the kitchen. In the bathroom they are employed as wall tile or for a back splash as well.

Don’t be fooled by its name, subway tile is just at home on your kitchen or bathroom walls.  With tons of choices from material to size and every color imaginable, you won’t believe just how versatile it can be.
