Hai! My name is Vijay Chidambaram. I’m 15 years old. I’ve finished my 10th standard board exams. I’ve written it quite well,The Day My 10th Board Exam Results were announced Articles I think. However, that is not what worries me. I know what I’ve written and also probably what marks I will get. What worries is whether my marks will be up to the expectations of my parents, relatives and well-wishers

You see, my father is a doctor and my mom is a school principal. Both of them have their own ideas what my mark should be. Heck, I could deal even with them. It’s my relatives I’m most worried about. You see, the day the 12th standard results were announced, my mom got STD calls from my native place, asking when my results would be announced!

And also, people I only remotely know (whom I have met only once or twice) have started taking a great interest in my results. People I pass by on the way to the shops are asking about my results. Shop-owners are asking about my result. And oh yes, the teachers working under my mom in the school (of which she is the principal are also asking about my results. My results, results, results... why are they so important?

You see, in my school, they have already given me a seat for the 11th standard, based on my good performance throughout the year (I study fairly well). So all I have to do is maintain the marks I secured in my school in the Board exam. It seems only I understand this... I am gradually converting my parents to this view…

Imagine this painful scenario. A geust, whom I am meeting for the first time, comes to my house. The minute he finds out that I have just finished tenth standard, he will ask for my marks. I will tell him that the total is 974. Immediately he will ask me if it is 974/1000. I have to painfully remind him that it is 974/1100. Then he will ask why the mark is not higher and then he will lecture me …. And I have met him for the first time!!!

So I see, this is why, after my results come out, it is going to be very painfall for me for a few weeks…. Gradually, due to the great healer, time, people will forget about me and my marks… and I can continue my life.
