So what is a loss leader?

A loss leader (also called entry product) allows you to quickly build a subscriber list. You are not building the typical "freebie seeker's list", but a real proven list of buyers. Ok, how this will help you as an affiliate?

In a nutshell, you create a low cost ebook with valuable content (try to make it even better than high priced products). People will buy your ebook since they are interested in the topic, and your price will eliminate the "fear factor".

Inside the ebook, you will strategically embed your affiliate links. Once you do this, watch the magic happen...

You need to know that people are always afraid to buy from you the first time because they don't know if you deliver the goods. The need a proof that you are the real deal.

This is why you sell your product at a low price. So try to get them hooked because it is important for what is coming next...

Now that they associate your name and good content, you can send them your Upsell (Sometimes called backend, but it's not exactly a backend). An upsell is a other product that you sell immediately at point of purchase.

This subscriber list is extremely valuable because they WILL buy your following products if your loss leader was excellent. You can sell your "loss leader" product very easily, by sending an email to your list or just adding a link to your blog!

Why it works?

Because buying those low priced products don't require trust. Even if the product is "bad", ten dollars is not a big lost for the customer.
