Blogging Tips to Increase Your Traffic

Blogging for many different reasons has become extremely popular. This article aims to help readers to increase  traffic to their blog by making sure that their blog posts are enjoyable and readable.

People blog for many reasons. Blogs started out many years ago as a way to keep a journal or diary on-line.   But things have drastically changed since those innocent times. Sure there are still people out there who   have personal blogs and still really only keep an on-line journal. However, I have to say, that the vast amount of  bloggers today blog for passion.

They can be passionate about their topic or they are passionate about building their list and generating traffic   from their blog to other websites. Others are passionate about creating discussion and controversy. A blog is a   great way to raise awareness about an issue.

Make Money Blogging    Bloggers can also be passionate about making money online and blogging is a great place to start an on-line   business.  The start up cost is low and when you know what you are doing you can get visitors to your blog and build a list   fast. Once you have a list, you have people to market to and provided you deliver what your market wants you'll   be making money in no time.  The more people that read your blog the higher will be your search engine ranking. This is a cyclical phenomenon   with increasing returns as you increase your readership.

Tips to Make More People Read your Posts

Make sure your content is reader friendly  Be sure to use lots of different media to ensure your readers stay interested and entertained. Sometimes a short   video can make a point more succinctly and elegantly than several paragraphs of prose.

Make sure that your content is valuable to the reader  Content is valuable if you are sharing the benefit of your experience and thus can save your reader valuable time   and money by learning from your mistakes.  Synthesising or reviewing the vast amount of information on a particular topic can also have great value to readers.

Treat your reader the way you, yourself would like to be treated  Honesty, transparency and integrity will always shine through. If your content is written with the intention to   help and educate people this will come through your writing.

Ensure that your article is easy to read  Good grammarFind Article, spelling and punctuation will get your message across in an efficient way. A poorly written blog   post which struggles to get its ideas across leaves the reader with many more questions than answers.

Keep it Short and Simple  Get to the point quickly and don't waste too many words. If your reader doesn't see where you are going quickly   they will be gone never to return.

Use Keywords and Key phrases  The key here is to use but NOT over use your keywords and key phrases. Using keywords and key phrases ensure that   your blog posts are more easily found by the various search engines.

Use an interesting post title  If your blog post title grabs the attention of your reader then the battle is half won. Use your title to create   interest curiosity or discussion. But it's important never to use misleading titles because once you lose   credibility with your readers you will probably never be able to regain their trust.

So use these tips to keep your readers interested and so that people keep coming back to your blog and better   yet recommend it to others
