A Google account also gives the access to many other Google services like maps, play store, YouTube etc. Forgetting our account password can disrupt work and wouldn’t let us use other apps of Google. Therefore users need to recover their Google account. Users can reset the password through the account recovery page. The steps for it are:
Open your web browser.
Now in your address bar enter “https://g.co/recover”.
This will open the Google account recovery page’.
Now enter your Google email address.
Tap ‘Next’ option.
Now Google will ask you to enter any last password you used for this account you want to recover.
Enter it or select try another way.
Now various options to recover account will appear. You can do recovery through an alternate email address or mobile number or through security questions.
On selecting option of mobile number Google will ask to send a code there through text or call. Select this option or click ‘Try another way’.
On selecting alternate email Google will ask to send a code on your alternate email.
When you get the code enter it on the recovery page after which you can reset password.
You can also select security questions option. These questions were selected by you during the time of account creation.
The questions can be date of birth, father’s name, library card number etc.
Answer them correctly after which the reset page will open.
Now create a strong password for your account.
Re-enter it to save the password.
You can now go back to sign-in page and log in to your account with the new password.
