Few things in this world are as annoying as a badly created Squeeze Page.  If you have been on the internet for a while,How to make a useful Squeeze Page Articles you are certain to have run into a few of these badly made pages.  What makes them bad and what is the difference between a good Squeeze Page and a bad one?

Simply put, if your page looks like a scam, it will be treated like a scam.  Alluring promises of information that will only be given in part or in whole after signing up for their emailing list no longer works with this generation of internet-savvy individuals.

If you want your page to be received well by new visitors and potential customers, then you need to make them feel as if they are getting something before they even give you their email address.  Maybe give them a little tip or a little bit of knowledge - this will ensure that they will be interested in the other things you have to offer.  It will make people think that if you are giving away a little snippet of information before they even sign up for your mailing list, how much more are you going to give them after they give you their email address?

Recently, most search engines have taken action to actually exclude Squeeze Pages that give little or no information about their companies, their products or their services, because these types of Squeeze Pages are looked on as Spam.

How do Squeeze Pages Work?

In case you do not really know what a Squeeze Page is, it is a page where your visitor’s will land when they go to your webpage link or links.  Generally, in order for the visitor to move forward on your website, they will have to provide their name and email address.

For the owner of the website, this provides a large pool of potential customers and their email addresses, which is a very powerful tool to have in the business world.  The trick to making your Squeeze Page useful is to provide adequate information to the visitors that will make them want to know more about your product or service without falling into spam practices.

Captive Audience

Most companies just assume that if you give your potential readers or customers no way out or, in this instance, no exit links, they will eventually give in and subscribe to your mailing list.  In reality, choosing to misuse this option will not only lead to no sign-ups, it will ensure that they will advise everyone they know to avoid your site at all costs.

Yes, the main point of a squeeze page is to keep the reader interested in your material.  There is a way of keeping the attention of your potential clients, but it is definitely not restricting their ability to close or navigate away from your page.  This is one of the most annoying things about these types of pages.  Avoid making pages like these and you will have exponentially greater success with your visitors and potential customers.  For more information on squeeze pages, please visit my blog at http://www.annettapowellonline.com.   See you there!
