Well I think I may be able to help you as I too was asking the same question not so long back.

One of the most obscure ways to make money that I have found is to sell other peoples products online, making money through commissions. This must be one of the most rewarding work from home businesses anyone could ever have.

Affiliate marketing, as it is termed, is quite easily achievable by anyone with an internet connection and some spare time. Your income will depend entirely on the effort you put in but the sky is the limit.

So what, where and how, do I sell these products?

Well my dear friend, electronic products such as eBooks and digital software are the most popular as they can be delivered by the click of your mouse.

One of the most popular places to start is at Clickbank, although there are many other sites that operate much the same, Clickbank is perhaps preferred by most.

The Clickbank affiliate network serves as a third party between the merchants (product owners) and the associated affiliates (you & I).
They collect the money from the sales and then distribute the money to merchants and the affiliates.

There are many advantages of affiliate marketing which include:

• You are your own boss. Work from the comfort of your own home.
• Huge audience to sell to, literally millions of potential customers
• No face to face selling. Which means no travelling or appointments to make?
• No product sales page to create as this is done by the merchant.
• Earning commissions of up to 75% is commonplace
• No guarantees or customer service as this is also provided by the merchant
• No worries of chasing after money. 

However at this point I feel that I must point out that many people fail at affiliate marketing because they don't learn the ropes.
Although its not rocket science it's vital to acquire the knowledge before venturing into this lucrative opportunity and I personally found it easier to learn from an excellent series of videos rather than reading up on it.

I'm sure you will agree that when you consider obscure ways to make money this is surely one of them.
