Satellite broadband has come a long way since it was first introduced. It is much more widely available than it was in the past because there are more companies working competitively to give greater service to larger areas. It is not the fastest internet connection that you will be able to find by far. Cable service can be a lot faster, but you have to be in an area that has access to cable to get that. DSL is also a faster choice but that is also limited by location and access to phone lines.
