What I’ve Learned from Dress Up Girls

Dress up girls are one of the most enjoyable things I’ve done online in recent memory. The games are straightforward and easy to play, but they are also a nice opportunity to put your creative juices to work. In fact, I learned quite a bit about myself while playing. While these lessons aren’t considered ground shaking by any means, they are meaningful to me. It seems like too often even the simplest things about ourselves can be lost in the shuffle. It’s wonderful that we can rediscover the basics using something like dress up girls.

Dress Up Girls Let Me Be Creative

I love any activity that lets me break out of my traditional work detail and express myself creatively. Playing dress up games lets me take a break from work and then play with design. I like to find new games to try every time I play. Fortunately there are hundreds if not thousands of opportunities to play new games. For example, I might try playing a game with goth and emo dress up games on the first day and then try something more like fairies and pixies on the next. The fun of it is that I’m able to create a new doll with each of my passing fancies until I have quite a collection of dolls to enjoy.

Dress Up Girls Let Me Try New Things

There are always new games to try and new things to do with the dress up girls. New games show up almost daily as new games come out and try new things. The dress up girls vary wildly based on different designs and depending on my mood, I can try all kinds of different things while I play. I can create fashions I might never try on my own and I can pull together styles I’ve always wanted to try but have never had the guts to actually wear. The dress up girls work like my own personal mannequins and I get to find new ways of wearing old items that I might have in my closet while trying on some of the newer styles available as well.

Dress Up Girls Taught Me Better Communication with Friends

Playing with the dress up girls gave me something meaningful to say and do with friends. Too often we’d resort to gossiping about others and that always left me with a bad taste in my mouth. But showing off my designs or making a special doll to show clothes that we could actually all wear together is a great deal of fun and gives us something meaningful to say and do together. Everyone can make a new design and then we share it with each other. Sometimes we might vote on which one we like best, but most of the time we just pick one that works for us and go with it for the moment – praising each other and complimenting the quality design efforts.
