So,7 Drivers Cops Don't Give a Speeding Ticket To Articles you've done just about everything else under the sun but have you ever gotten a speeding ticket? In my opinion there are better ways of getting noticed than by being pulled over by a cop. But then some people apparently like getting noticed and that's they first offense. Let's talk about some ways you can avoid getting one. 1. Always try to drive 5-10 mph under the speed limit. This works every time. It's so easy for a cop to spot a rapid driver because he stands out. But, if you are driving under the speed limit, you'll fly right by his radar. 2. Drive with the flow of traffic. The cop can only choose one car to pull over. It definitely won't be you if you drive with the flow of surrounding traffic. 3. Stay in the middle of the traffic. Don't always try to be the lead car in the pack because you'll be the first one that's picked up by his radar and get the ticket if you're speeding. And, if you're at the very end driving too fast, you'll be an easy catch. Think about it this way. If you were a deer running with other deer, and a hungry lion was chasing you, being in the middle of the pack will keep you out of his jaws. Yep. The absolute safest place is right in the middle. 4. Search for a rabbit. Say you'd like to be going at a rate 10 or 20 mph over the speed limit, but you don't want to risk being pulled over. Find a solitary driver who IS driving the speed you'd like to be going and tail him. That way, when he flies by the cop's radar, bingo! HE gets pulled and not you! Beware, he may put on his brakes fast if he spots a cop but that only gives you a warning signal to slow down and avoid the trap. 5. Don't tailgate or change lanes too often or be an aggressive driver in any way. This only aggravates other drivers and sometimes they'll phone the highway patrol and turn you in. Plus, these bad driving habits are not only rude but also very dangerous. 6. Stay out of the express lane. This is a given because you will automatically drive faster in this lane. Use it to pass a slower driver only. The best lane to stay in for safety and fuel economy is the middle lane. 7. Drive courteously. The absolute best way to avoid getting a speeding ticket is to be as courteous a driver as you possibly can be. Use your turning signals. Plus, when you drive this way, it automatically sends you to the background and out of radar range. If you're anything like I am, you probably don't want to get a speeding ticket and suffer all of the penalties associated with it. And just remember, cops aren't looking to give tickets to good drivers.
