Not having your license, registration and (in most cases) proof of insurance gives the officer another reason to detain you. Be sure you handle these documents with confidence, as the officers will be looking for you to struggle with your fine motor skills while handling them.
Don't: Wait to Obtain Assistance-If you are arrested for driving while under the influence, the most crucial thing you can do is ask for legal help right away. Although contacting a lawyer without delay may have little to no impact on your criminal case, it could have a huge impact on whether or not you are able to retain your license as a consequence of this occurrence.
