Living in this country can be a dream come true, particularly if you are here after having left a country in which not everyone has equal rights and opportunity. If that were to happen, they fear never be able to gain citizenship because they had already been expelled once. These are not the only people who fear being forced to return to their own land. Essentially, they request to be allowed to leave on their own and as a result not face the negative consequences of a removal order. This is not always successful, but if it is, it can prevent the accused from being banned from returning even if it were to be through legal channels.
