To some,There's a Vacancy for a Bankruptcy Attorney Articles the words bankruptcy attorney would be enough to cause a massive headache; the former, denoting insurmountable debt and the latter representing legal trouble. This profession is not to be looked down upon, however. In fact, it is much needed and sought after.

When someone makes the decision to file for bankruptcy, they may believe they are capable of doing things on their own, especially someone who has represented themselves in other instances. Take Average Joe, for example, who recently represented himself in divorce court as well as in a traffic ticket case. Joe ended up winning both cases and became overly confident in his abilities. So, when he realized that he had little to no chance of eliminating the massive amount of debt he'd accumulated, he decided he was also equipped to represent himself in his bankruptcy case.

Joe worked tirelessly for weeks researching and getting his paperwork in order. His girl friend, Kate, noticed how he no longer had time to spend with her because he was spending a great deal of time working on the case. Since she didn't like the way she was being ignored or the fact that Joe was obviously struggling, she decided to suggest that he look into hiring a bankruptcy attorney.

"No way," exclaimed Joe. "I am perfectly fine doing this by myself. I've successfully represented myself before and there's no reason to think that I can't do it again."

Kate let out a loud sigh as she realized she was fighting a losing battle.

Joe barely slept the night before his lone appearance in court. He stayed up all night repeatedly going over his paperwork, making sure he had everything together. The next day, he woke up early to get ready. Before heading to the courthouse for the Meeting of Creditors, he picked up Kate, so she could come along for support.

While waiting for his court visit, he and Kate sat down beside a young man on one of the benches in the lobby. It didn't take long for he and Joe to begin a friendly conversation.

"I'm so nervous, I hope everything turns out okay," Joe said, rubbing his hands together nervously.

"I am too," the young man said. "I'm just so glad I hired a bankruptcy attorney, because I don't know how I would've gotten everything done."

"Oh, I didn't really need a lawyers help, I did everything on my own," Joe said proudly. "It was pretty simple."
"Wow, I wish I would've thought of that," the young man said. "It would've surely saved me a lot of money."
Joe patted him on the shoulder as he and Kate arose to go for their appearance.

"Well, at least now you know for next time."

Before Joe could make it to the courtroom door, a lady stopped him in his tracks.

"Excuse me sir," she said. "I regret to inform you that we actually had to dismiss your case because your paperwork wasn't done properly. However, you're free to file again."
