Should I Move In With A Friend

Moving out on your own can be a exciting adventure and can provide you with a lot of rewards. And if you need a roommate to help you split the costs of your apartment home, wouldn’t choosing  friend seem like a great idea? But before you rush to make any decisions, you might want to know a little bit more about your friend. 

Even know you think you may know this person, living with them can be in entirely different situation. Read on to find out if you should move in with a friend.

The Person You Know

If your moving in with a friend, there probably isn’t that much mystery in finding out who this person is. But there are probably some things you just don’t know.  And it might be fair to say that until you live with that person, there is a lot of mystery surrounding actually living with them.  So think about what it may be like sharing a refrigerator, bathroom, and even eating near them. 

And they better be responsible enough to pay their share of the bills and rent on a monthly basis. 

Nothing In Common

its not a big deal if either of you have anything in common.  In fact roommates who don’t have much in common make some of the best roommates out there.  However, you do want to have a few things that you both can agree upon. These will include things like cleanliness, diet, and what type of guests each of you has over. 

Also what type of schedules do each of you keep. If you go to bed early and your roommate is a night owl, you probably don’t want them to make much noise. So having an ideal of their lifestyle habits sure will be helpful.

Responsibility

Making sure that your roommate can pay their share of the bills is important. Buying dinner is one thing. but don’t lead them to think you will pay for the bills too.
