The core focus of BA’s assessment center was to provide ample scope and opportunity to the potential candidates, so that they can display their strengths, which might be in alignment with the BA’s organizational culture and working methodology.

Team coordination and dynamics of a group are two important aspects in a professional environment. A smooth and well-coordinated team effort can give boost to the overall productivity,Team coordination and dynamics of a group in Management Articles whereas opposite can result in equal opposite situation.

Explanation of the role

Planner: This role was majorly focused on solving the issues and tricky situation. Planner at times works best when they work behind the scene; hence they are often poor communicator and can tend to ignore minor details.

Investigator for resource: Person with these roles remains focused on exploring new ideas and possibilities. Such people are optimistic in nature, but their thought process keeps on fluctuating form time to time.

Shaper: Lots of energy and action, challenging others to move forwards. Can be insensitive.

Completer/Finisher: Reliably sees things through to the end, ironing out the wrinkles and ensuring everything works well. Can worry too much and not trust others.

Coordinator: A coordinator is almost equivalent to a leadership role; however, focus of this role is not leading people, but more towards helping out everyone, so that people can fulfill their respective tasks. However at times, coordination can also indulge into excess controlling.

Person responsible for implementation: An implementer is a role, in which the occupant of the role is organized well, and is generally predictable in nature. Implementer mainly observes the basic thoughts and ideas and out of them implements those, which can be effective assignment help at the work place. However at times, pace of implementation can be slow.

Monitor/Evaluator: Sees the big picture. Thinks carefully and accurately about things. May lack energy or ability to inspire others.

Ways to work collectively

Goals: Focus towards assessment and confirming the requirements of the customer, shapers and coordinators is the key.

Ideas: Plants and Resource Investigators best develop creative ideas to meet those needs.

Plans: When a team needs plans, Monitor/Evaluators and Specialists are valuable contributors.

Contacts: If a team must communicate with external people or contacts present outside the team, Resource Investigators and Team Workers are the best suited for the job.

Organization: People responsible for implementation and coordination generally achieve success in ensuring that the team remains organized and on track.

Follow Through: Follow through is essential in order to ensure that all the plans which were decided are executed properly. Also, control on the quality of the deliverable should be responsibility of the people responsible for implementation or finishers.

Dynamics of a team is an important attribute, which underlines the way a specific team performs and adapts to the changes. Every team member has a distinct way of functioning; however, the common factor, which binds them and helps them to achieve the objectives, defines the team dynamics.

There are several areas, which generally team dynamics focuses upon:

People’s way of communication within the team

Decision making process in the team

Leadership style applied to lead the team

Degree of collaboration within team.

Interrelationship between business/organizational objectives and personal objectives of the team members.

Flexibility of the team to adapt to new changes.

However, there are five critical issues, which should be focused upon, when the team building process takes place.

  1. Interdependence of team members over each other
  2. Goal Specification
  3. Cohesiveness
  4. Roles and Norms
  5. Communication
Identify and discuss alternative ways to complete a task as team and achieve the goals.

One of the tasks, which I did in BA, was online short listing of the potential candidate for jobs in Sales and Marketing division. During this process, firstly job applications were submitted into the online recruitment system of BA. Post registration and submission, HR team in BA used to screen and shortlist valid candidate for the next rounds of assessment and interviews (based on the role). However, during the process of internal recruitment, process of appraisal is applied in order to inform the colleague about his/her performances, and potential opportunities with the organization assignment help. Overall, process of selection at BA is relatively less time consuming and flexible. In order to ensure that right and appropriate candidate is selected, BA should focus upon careful evaluation of each and every candidates through multiple rounds of screening and interviews.  This will ensure the goal of organization to engage right people at right place.
