0 Use Behaviors to Improve Email Marketing Results

If you could improve your email marketing results by tracking your customer behaviors, would you feel like a genius or a stalker? Truth be told, you should feel more like a genius than a stalker and it may be a lucrative exercise.

Most businesses have all of the data they need to boost their sales at their fingertips. These same businesses either don’t know they have the information or they don’t know how to use it. Listen up because you’re about to unveil the behaviors of your customers and it may end up making you cash in the process.

Metrics, Data and Answers

If you use an email software program to send out your company e-newsletters and email promotions, these software programs have behavioral data built right into them. The statistics for each email or e-newsletter show you how many recipients opened the email and how many people clicked on each link in the email. This is a goldmine of information because you can use this information to create and send subsequent communications based on which emails were opened and which links were clicked on.

For example, if you’re in the real estate business and you send out an email with some condos and single-family homes, you can figure out who clicked on each type of property. You can then create emails for each property type and send out subsequent marketing emails based on the data you gathered. This methodology can be applied to any type of business, no matter the niche or the industry.

The odds are good that you have all of the data you need to create high converting marketing campaigns. Now it’s time to look at and analyze the data you have at your fingertips. Your customers are trying to tell you something, but are you listening and acting on it?
