Promotional mailings can be made more effective by adding promotional items.

A business has options for lots of different ways to promote their business by advertising. Something that is used is promotional mailings, maybe once to reach former customers or a regular mailing to a list of people who may be prospective customers.

These mailings tend to be very general and for the most part a relatively ineffective way of drumming up business. Some companies try to spice up these advertisements with coupons and such, but usually with very little effect on the results.

Continuing with bulk mailings is alright but it's important to know that it will give you perhaps one new customer from each hundred mailers sent out, and this is very low results for your efforts. But there is something you can do to increase the results if you want to continue, include some promotional merchandise within the mailer, this will double your responses which is a significant increase. No matter whether they come in to your business or not they may increase your sales by the use of the product.

There are very small promotional items that will fit inside a mailing that don't make it bigger or increase the weight, thus the postage. Such things as pens, pencils, post it notes, bumper stickers and magnets will increase your marketing clout within the mailer but won't cost a lot for your budges. There are a number of very small and light promotional products that will be helpful in this arena.

Promotional products can only enhance your business and help spread your business message to those that it might not otherwise get to. They serve as a reminder of the good business that they have gotten from you in the past, keep contact information handy when needed, and serve as that little whisper in their ear telling them to come in and take a look or another look at your business.
