As the name states, online reputation management basically means managing and looking out after ones reputation online. A brands reputation online comprises of all that represents your brand online. This includes your websites, your blogs, your social media presence, reviews about your brand written on consumer forums, pictures, videos and even all the negative publicity.

But the problem here is that, even if you have multi websites, and brilliant representation all over the internet, if once a negative post about your brand hits the front page there would be no going back and your brand would never get the coup-de-gras.

The reason why a negative post is highly feared is because of the virality of the internet. You wouldn’t even know when a small negative thread would take shape of a blanket.

The only way you can reduce the intensity of the negative publicity is by counter attacking it by gradual and constant display of your positive image.

What may seem as a simple job is really something which asks for your dedication and time. One cannot contemplate and wish upon a perfect reputation online without having put any efforts. It is all in your hard work.
