Who new that a child’s book written in 1930 could have such an impact for business entrepreneurs in today’s day and age?

Anyone growing up has probably heard the story of the little engine that could. A train full of toys gets stuck on it’s way to it’s destination. The toys ask larger more capable engines for help, who promptly turn them down. Then, along comes the little blue engine, who the toys turn to for help. Though small and the train is long, the little engine agrees to helps the toys. Through trials and against the odds, the little engine reaches the destination all the while repeating it’s mantra “I think I can-I think I can-I think I can.”

The little engine can teach business owners that the most important ingredient for success is a positive attitude. You may not have the capabilities of your larger more intimidating competitors, but with the right attitude you can achieve the same goals that larger businesses may not think important. What larger companies may think of as small potatoes and not worth their while, you can achieve and be a wild success at it.

The little engine repeated it’s mantra all the completing it’s task. With the little engine’s positive attitude you could achieve goals you never thought possible, and with a negative attitude you probably wouldn’t finish it.

So, when operating your business do your research, and find a method that works for you, but remember that a positive attitude will get you to your destination. When others say it is impossible remember an “I think I can” attitude will push you on toward success.
